Data management is helping organisations find ways to make better use of their data for strategy and implementation.

Webstruxure provides consultancy and solutions to help businesses collect, organise and store their data; analyse it for trends and insights; and visualise it as dashboards or reports that can better enable decision-making.

How is data useful to New Zealand businesses?

New Zealand is a small and competitive market.

Many Kiwi organisations operate with smaller teams and tight margins. They want to utilise data to help reduce costs and improve productivity.

Data management helps New Zealand businesses by turning raw information into secure, actionable insights that drive efficiency, growth and compliance.

Better data around user behaviour, personalisation, retention becomes most valuable when it becomes actionable insight that helps New Zealand businesses achieve these goals.

Webstruxure works with organisations and stakeholders to identify their decisons, issues or goals, and to formulate the questions and metrics that define success for their operation.

Modern data infrastructure: moving off spreadsheets and silos

New Zealand companies use their data infrastructure to drive smarter decisions, improve operations and fuel innovation.

Data stored in isolated systems often leads to conflicting reports. Local spreadsheets can become unmanaged “shadow systems” that create security risks and lack data governance.

Moving from static manual reports to web technologies such as real-time dashboards speeds up decision-making. Making data accessible across teams improves collaboration.

Setting the foundations for your organisation or business is an opportunity. Webstruxure helps companies that are still growing in their data maturity to build the basics properly.

Webstruxure helps businesses through this process in several ways:

  • Understanding data usage: consulting with you and your staff to identify “pain points” for the organisation.
  • Choosing the right replacement system, whether it’s a brand CRM or custom-coded solution.
  • Cleaning the data.
  • Implementation and transition, including refining workflows post-transition.

Should data be AI-ready (or is it all just hype)?

AI-ready data is a usable asset.

Making data ready for Large Language Model (LLM) “AI” search means ensuring your data is clean, structured and organised to better prevent biased, misleading or inaccurate AI results.

NZBusiness Magazine says just nine percent of New Zealand businesses consider 100 per cent of their data to be “clean”.

Ensuring your data is high-quality, accessible and trusted prepares your business for scalability for future projects – whatever that future might be.

Webstruxure makes your data AI-ready in several ways:

  • Cleaning data: removing errors, duplicates, formatting and handle missing values.
  • Labelling the data to make it useful for models.
  • Structuring, organising and centralising data with consistent schemas and metadata.
  • Ensuring privacy and security with tools including access controls and anonymisation.
  • Establishing governance by setting ownership and usage policies.

How should a business prepare for data management services?

Assessing your current data landscape.

Changing how your organisation’s data is handled is a strategic shift. Some key actions include:

  • Auditing your data.
  • Defining your goals and governance. What do you want to achieve?
  • Strengthening security and infrastructure by making decisions around encryption, backups and cloud storage.
  • Preparing for implementation by educating employees, choosing the best tools for your strategy and planning for migration and changeover.

Webstruxure can help guide you through the process every step of the way.

PCL Contracting

PCL Contracting engaged Webstruxure to develop an online timesheet system to replace their paper timesheets. As the business grew this timesheet project evolved into an end-to-end business logistics solution. Client spreadsheets are uploaded to generate quotes which can be updated as required. As work proceeds foremen can access detailed job information including costs and resources, allowing PCL and their clients to track progress. Webstruxure works with the client to develop and maintain new features for this solution as scale and requirements evolve.

Tall Poppy

Nationwide real estate agency Tall Poppy provides customers with a more transparent service for residential sales. Webstruxure helped the agency collate sales information by integrating their reporting systems. We built a relational database hosted on the Microsoft SQL Server platform and used APIs to output the operational data in a useful form via a reporting app, dashboard and emails.

NZTA

NZTA Rightcar needed to collect vehicle data and publish it as safety ratings to encourage better choices for people buying a vehicle. Webstruxure developed tools and a website that assigns laboratory and real-world safety data to over 95% of new, used and imported vehicles in New Zealand. This allows ratings to be used as a general comparison tool for vehicles on Rightcar as well as sites like TradeMe.

Living Streets Aotearoa

Living Streets Aotearoa promotes walking friendly communities in New Zealand. Their existing site was dated and its Drupal platform was unsupported. Their CRM (CiviCRM) needed to be carried across to a new accessible site along with hundreds of pages of content. Webstruxure delivered new branding for LSA; redesigned and rebuilt a WCAG-compliant WordPress site; supervised the export, review and editing of all content and reinstalled their existing CRM so staff workflow could continued uninterrupted over the transition. The new site is responsive, accessible and modernised.

Real Estate Authority

Independent government agency REA acts as regulator for the New Zealand real estate industry and required an index of published CAC decisions, Real Estate Agents Disciplinary Tribunal decisions and High Court appeals. Webstruxure built a REA a decisions database using the Microsoft .NET platform integrated with Microsoft SQL Server. The database is accessible on the REA website and allows for a full text search by both general and specialised criteria. The database is administered by REA and maintained by Webstruxure.

Tyrewise

3R needed software to support Tyrewise, a government scheme that facilitates the recycling and reuse of tyres in New Zealand. Webstruxure worked with 3R to design and build a phone app that tyre manufacturers, transporters and processors could use to track recycled tyres from start to finish, and to pay staff. Transporters scan each load of tyres at pickup and the load weight is used to keep track of each load as it travels. The app also tracks work done by individuals and provides timesheets to employers.
